Roles

Who plays what role in PMO?

Basically, we distinguish between two forms of PMO.

There is one PMO, which is directly assigned to the individual project and plays an important role in large projects. These PMOs include the scheduler, the test coordinator, the project assistant and, if necessary, other roles specific to the individual project.

On the other hand, we know the PMO as a superior instance for all projects of an organizational unit or for an entire company. Here we need roles that are primarily seen as experience carriers in the company and in the project business. As a rule, these companies have a process house in which the roles are assigned process-dependently.
